ALPACA HOME         

We bought our first Alpacas in 2002, and boarded them at the farm for almost a year.  Our next step was to buy property and get moved from California.  I still don’t know where those 7 years have gone.  Now we have a herd of 33 of these wonderful creatures, and they never fail to delight us on a daily basis. 

Alpaca Facts: 

Alpacas live 20 -25 years

Alpacas are a member of the Camelid Family related to Camels and Llamas

Alpacas weigh 150 – 175 pounds

Alpacas are a soft padded animal and are very gentle on the land

Alpacas produce a wonderful fiber that can be spun, knitted or woven
